When I found this place back in April I was ecstatic. I started to try their Griot ( was my 1st time trying this dish) and let me tell you it is addicting along with their djon djon rice! Almost every week I’ve been ordering or picking up food from here it is just that delicious. I also love their red snapper with the red beans and rice it is to die for. As far as the beverages all of them are good also but my favorite is the corossol, highly recommend. The guys that work here are very nice always would give you a 5 star service and they go above and beyond to make sure you leave the place satisfied. Now I’ll be honest- I didn’t have very high expectations as it’s very hard to find good authentic Haitian food outside of Haiti, NY or FL. My first impression of the place was that it was so clean and cute! It had beautiful wall art and the overall theme really captured the Haitian culture. I would give ambiance and decor a 5/5. The customer service was great from the time we walked in. We were greeted and welcomed with warm smiles. We were seated promptly and our foods came out very quickly. Our server was amazing! She was very personable and checked on us frequently. Even other staff stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Customer service was a 5/5 in my book. Now to the juicy part- the food. I am not lying when I say that was some of the best Haitian food I’ve tasted in a minute. Everything tasted so good. From the legume, to the rice, to the pickliz… my mouth is watering thinking about it. Even the drinks were great and tasted like my grandma made them herself. I will give the food a 10/5. It was quite well prepared and came in a sturdy microwave-safe disposable plate-like container with a see-thru lid to keep it from exterior contamination--this is NOT the cheapo Styrofoam containers that you get from other restaurants. I mean you could wash and reuse it for future meals just like Tupperware. The rice and beans were cooked to perfection with just the right texture. It was lightly seasoned with what I would describe as delicious! I would say it was lightly salted, had a mix of succulent herbs, and a pleasing aroma. The chicken stew was served alongside the rice and beans in just the right proportion. The quarter leg piece was tender and full of taste not only on the outside but inside as well. Together, they offered quite a tantalizing performance on top of my taste buds! Yea, I know, it's hard for me to describe in words. It is comparable to the feeling of gratification after doing something nice for your significant other. I mean, it just felt right! The fried plantain was a savory follow up to the main course. I was very surprised as Haitian food is very new to me. I gave this a 5-star rating because I haven't tasted food this good for quite awhile now. I gobbled down every last bit!
